Add probiotics to your diet to reduce or avoid yeast infections. Probiotics contain ‘good bacteria’ which will help restore the balance of bacteria in the female genital tract. There are foods that also contain these bacteria such as kimchi, kefir and yogurt with active cultures.

Reduce your risk of high blood pressure by consuming more potassium rich foods. Some of these foods are bananas, cantaloupe and oranges.

Reduce stress and sleep peacefully with lavender. This aromatic herb can be used in an oil form and rubbed on your temples or soak in a warm bath containing a few drops of this wonderfully smelling herb.

Add avocados to your diet if you suffer from dry skin. Avocados contain vitamin E and monounsaturated fat which help to promote healthy skin. Enjoy avocados in sandwiches, salads, and smoothies.

water

Stay hydrated to avoid dry skin, headaches and dehydration. Water is essential to your over all health. Keep a water bottle handy to remind you to drink often throughout the day.

Wash your hands often. Using warm sudsy water to wash your hands is one of the best ways to keep ‘cold’ germs at bay.

green tea

Want to add an extra punch to your workouts? Consider drinking green tea which contains caffeine and anti-oxidants which help increase metabolic generation of heat. It’s best to drink a cup of green tea 10 minutes before exercising.

Incorporating physical activity in your day is important. When doing so be sure to wear supportive shoes.

Don’t forget the garlic. Adding raw or lightly cooked garlic to your diet will help to keep you healthy and combat illnesses. Garlic and onions both contain antiviral and antibacterial properties and naturally help to boost your immune system.
